UK police identify 200 children as potential terrorists

If this is the case with a “developed” UK, then I guess its no suprise that the kids in the “underdeveloped” Pakistan and Bangladesh and to some extent India are being attracted to Islamic terrorism. We surely have a problem at hand.

At least 200 schoolchildren in Britain, some as young as 13, have been identified as potential terrorists, prompting drastic new tactics to prevent teenagers becoming attracted to Islamic extremist ideology.

Sir Norman Bettison, Britain’s most senior officer in charge of terror prevention, revealed the number, which had leapt from 10 children identified by June 2008.

“Channel project” had intervened in the cases of at least 200 children who were thought to be at risk of extremism, since it began 18 months ago. The number has leapt from 10 children identified by June 2008,” Bettison was quoted as saying by ‘The Independent’ newspaper.

Inayat Bunglawala of the Muslim Council of Britain agreed that in recent years youngsters have been attracted by terrorist propaganda emanating from Al-Qaida-inspired groups.

“Clearly in recent years some people have been lured by terrorist propaganda emanating from
Al-Qaida-inspired groups,” he underlined. “It would seem that a number of Muslim youngsters have been seduced by that narrative and all of us, including the government, have a role to play in making sure that narrative is seen for what it is: a nihilistic one which offers no hope, only death and destruction,” Bunglawala said.

The scheme, funded by the Home Office, involves police officers working alongside Muslim communities to identify impressionable children who show attraction to extreme views or susceptibility to being “groomed” by radicalisers.

Keen to negate the idea that Muslim children were unfairly targetted, the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo) last night said the aim was to steer vulnerable children away from radicalism before it was too late.

“We are targeting criminals and would-be terrorists who happen to be cloaking themselves in Islamic rhetoric. That is not the same as targeting the Muslim community,” said Bettison, the chief constable of West Yorkshire Police.

No to Gandhiji in Australia, “secular” yes to chaplin in India. What a shame!!

Australian city has said no to naming a street as mahatma gandhi marg because “will name streets of which have a historical or cultural significance of Australia and/or of those who have resided as a local resident for a considerable time” . In India we have our “seculars and intellectuals” crying foul when the locals said no to the statue of Chaplin in front of a temple. Good Going India, lick all the white mans and jihadi’s shoes while you can, because sooner or later one among these will screw up our country anyway.

Australia’s sixth largest city Gold Coast has said no to the request of naming a street after peace icon Mahatma Gandhi.

Replying to a plea of Gandhi Monument Council headquartered in USA, Ron Clarke, Gold Coast mayor, said, “…Council’s Street Naming department will not be able to support the request. Following Council’s Street Naming Guidelines Section S.1.4., Council will name streets of which have a historical or cultural significance of Australia and/or of those who have resided as a local resident for a considerable time.”
Right Reverend Gene Savoy Jr. and Rajan Zed, Council coordinators, in a communiqué to the City of Gold Coast, had urged to name one of the major streets of Gold Coast after Mahatma Gandhi, preferably to be called Mahatma Gandhi Marg (“marg” means path). While Savoy is Head Bishop of International Community of Christ, Zed is the president of Universal Society of Hinduism.
The Gandhi Monument Council is formed of Christian (various denominations), Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Baha’i, Native American, etc., clergy. According to Zed and Savoy, the purpose of this Council is to commemorate Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence, his commitment to world peace, and his work for the upliftment of the downtrodden.

Seven “Christians” Arrested for Damaging Church Property

If the police had not acted promptly to arrest the real culprits, the whole secular lot of “polticos, mainstream media and intellectuals” would have bayed for the blood of the BJP government in Karnatake. Am also wondering why the church authorities arent saying something?? or did their plan backfire? Below is the link where you can see news along with the photographs of the “church goers”

Mangalore, Mar 19: In connection with indulging in rampage in a banana plantation belonging to Babbukatte Nityadhar Church and trying to disrupt peace in the region, Ullal policemen arrested seven persons on Wednesday March 18.

They are Jayson Verghese (23), Vijit Sunny Rozario (21), Araki Alfred (20), Roshan Cutinho (26), all from Nityadhar Nagar and Ronald Roshan (22), a resident of Kuttar Prakash Nagar. They were produced in the court on Wednesday.

On Monday morning, the banana plantation was found to have been damaged heavily to look as if people belonging to a particular community had barged into the plantation, and a saffron flag had been planted there, signifying that Hindu outfits had been involved with the destruction. The incident took place at a time when Hindu Samajotsav was being organized in the city.

The policemen said that during interrogation, the arrested persons revealed, they wanted to disturb the peace in the region by projecting the incident as a handiwork of a particular community.

While making inquiries about those who inflicted the above damage, the policemen could by chance, lay their hands on the two accused, who had burnt down a motor bike on November 30 near Pandit House. Joy D’Souza (20) and Calvin Johnson D’Souza, from Nityadhar Nagar, accused of this act, were arrested and produced in the court on Wednesday. The policemen are also looking at the possibility of these two having been also involved with the destruction of the banana plantation.

Under the guidance of the city rural inspector Lingappa Poojary, Ullal sub-inspector of police Shivprakash has been conducting investigation.

LeT trained its terror brigade in Kerala

This is great news for the LeT. Now they can stop training people in muridke and then send them to India. Its too much of a hassle you see. infiltration, security forces etc. In india there is no problem at all and they might even get the support of the politicians.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A terror brigade of 185 Keralites was selected by the Lashkar- e-Toiba and provided preliminary training at camps conducted in various centres in Kannur and Ernakulam. The Special Investigation Team probing the terror link to Kerala obtained this shocking piece of information from three Kashmiri youngsters.

Yasin, Fayaz, Shakeer alias Rahim and Fayiz who were killed in encounters with police in Kashmir and Abdul Jabbar, who had escaped the scene, constituted the pilot team sent by Kerala terror gurus to Kashmir.

SIT officials led by DySP V K Akbar, who visited Kashmir in January to probe the terror links of Kerala youth, interrogated Fiyaz Ahammed, 26, of Dindwall, Pulwama, Sajad Ahammed Reshi alias Hanzulla, Chakoo Shopian, South Kashmir, and Shabbir Ahammed Tali alias Abu Saquib, 20, Tulrun Shoppian, South Kashmir.

These three youngsters took part in the terror camp organised by LeT in Kupwara and Dorusa forest areas in Kashmir during October last year, along with the five-member team from Kerala. The Lashkar camp had 17 members, including seven Pakistanis and three Kashmiris.

“The Malayalis joined the camp in the second week of September.Shakeer alias Rahim was their leader. He could speak Urdu,” said Fiaz Ahammed.

According to Sajad Ahammed Reshi, the five Keralites, who had attended the terror training, wanted to go to Pakistan and get advanced training in weaponry. “Their plan was to go back to Kerala after being trained in Pakistan and engage in terrorist and anti-national activities,” he deposed before the police.

Shabbir Ahammed Tali told the police that 180 more youngsters were waiting in Kerala after the preliminary training to join Jihad. “One Ustad had indoctrinated them,” said Tali. The SIT officers had crosschecked this information with Fiaz Ahammed and Reshi who said they had also known it. The police guess that the Ustad they were referring to was Haji Ustad alias Thadiyantavide Nazir Haji, who is absconding.

Changing the name of Anantnag to Islamabad

Surely, why not change the name of evey kashmiri town and hand it over to pakistan on a platter? If there was amuslim name before the mughals came , what happens to places that had “hindu” names before the mughal attrocities started?

Opposition Peoples Democratic Party’s demand of changing the name of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district from the official name of Anantnag to the popular name of Islamabad has led to resentment among pro-Hindutva activists in Jammu.
The activists of Bhartiya Janta Party, Shiv Sena Hindustan, Bajrang Dal, Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch, Jammu Joint Students Federation for the past three days at various places in Jammu are burning effigies of PDP Patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, President Mahbooba Mufti and MLA Shangus, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain who moved the resolution of renaming Anantnag as Islamabad on the last day of the 10-day long assembly session.
Quoting Taarikhi Hassan, Hussain said Islamabad had been founded in the time of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s under the governorship of Islam Khan and the name of the town was later changed to Anantnag in Ranbir Singh’s regime.
He also asserted that Hari Parbat and Shankaracharya were originally called Koh-e-Maran and Takht-e-Suliaman.
Enraged over PDP’s demands, Vice President of Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM) R L Bhat said it was a conspiracy to distort Kashmir history.
“We stand by our words,” Bhat told Rising Kashmir but added that none of his activists had burned the effigies of PDP leaders.
Bhat said renaming of Srinagar Airport on the name of Sheikh-ul-Alam was also a part of this “conspiracy”.
Nazir Ahmed, an employee in Assembly Secretariat said that the pro-Hindutva groups were aiming to trigger communal tension across the Valley to gain advantage in the ensuing parliamentary elections.
“They want to exploit the religious sentiments of the Hindu population of India,” he said.

Sangliana counters priest

I am wondering why the mainstream media does not show these news with the same kind of vigour that they show the attack on the churches? Not a mention of the confession fo the christian priest at the commision (see previous post). I think the pink chaddi people should also send the mainstream media some pink chaddi’s…………Or are they also a part of the “mainstream media”??????

Sangliana now says the priest was lying……….am wondering if the top cop is trying all his best to become a top conversion agent.

March 12: Former Member of Parliament H.T. Sangliana has lashed out at the priest, who deposed before the Justice B.K. Somashekhara Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday and alleged that the priest was lying and should be prosecuted for the lie.
Father Joseph Meningis, priest of St James Church in Mariyannapalya, which was vandalized by some miscreants on September 21 last year, deposed before Justice Somashekhara Commission and reportedly confessed that “idol worship was being performed in churches to attract Hindus and convert them to Christianity.” He allegedly stated that it is the “duty” of every Christian to “convert non-Christians to Christianity by any means.”
Retorting to media reports about Father Joseph’s confession before the Inquiry Commission, Mr. Sangliana said the priest was “lying.” “If what he says is right, then he should be prosecuted. He is not fit to be a priest in a church. No idols of Hindu deities are kept in the churches to attract Hindus to Christianity. I am 65 years old and have been to several churches across India; nowhere have I seen this practice. I don’t know under which circumstance the priest has made this statement,” said Mr Sangliana. He added that he was “shocked” to read about Fr Menengis statement in newspapers. “I will personally make an inquiry to find out if what he is saying is true,” said the former cop.

Priest admits to idol worship in churches

And I thought that the saffron brigade was the one to be blamed for spreading rumors that the church involves in conversions “by any means”.

BANGALORE: In a revelation that could have widespread ramifications, Father Joseph Menengis, priest of St James Church in Mariyannapalya, Bangalore, confessed before the Justice B K Somashekara Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday that idol worship was being performed in churches to attract Hindus and convert them to Christianity.

The Commission is inquiring into the recent attacks on churches in Karnataka.“Hindus believe in idol worship. So to attract them to Christianity, idol worship is performed in churches,” Menengis said.

During cross-examination, the priest said that “despite idol worship being prohibited in Bible, we have idol worship in churches.” “The duty of every Christian is to convert non-Christians to Christianity by any means,” the priest told the commission.

St James Church was attacked by miscreants on September 21, 2008.The church is running co-education institutions, with classes from first to eight standard.

During cross-examination the priest confessed that “no girl students are permitted to use kumkum, bangles and wear flowers. In our institution, we have moral science textbook. But it does not contain texts regarding Holy Bible and Jesus,” the priest added. The commission has requested the priest to submit the textbook to it.

“2 killed as police open fire in Varanasi” over holi colors again.

Clashes over a holi colors splashed on the wall of a mosque.  The color should not have been splashed on the walls, and also the retort should not have been throwing stones on a locality. I think we can be a bit more accomodative….or may be not, its India after all.

Two persons were killed and at least 14 others, including half a dozen policemen, injured on Wednesday as police opened fire to disperse members of two communities who clashed in Varanasi during Holi celebrations.

SSP Varanasi P C Meena said police opened fire to quell violence that broke out during Holi celebrations near Gausiya Masjid in Bajardiha locality under the Bhelupur police station in Varanasi.

Those killed have been identified as Shafikur and Md Moin of Bajardiha area. Their bodies have been sent for postmortem.

“Trouble started after some Muslim youth saw a splash of colour on the wall of the Gausia mosque and they pelted stones on a nearby Hindu locality. Police immediately swung into action and surrounded the area and fired teargas to control the situation,” Meena said.

Eight-year-old shot at for spraying colours on man

By shooting an eight year old kid for pouring color on him, this mad man (fisherman with a  gun??? Sounds a bit suspicious too)  took humanity to ridiculous depths.  I will not be surprised if we have people defending Mohammad Rashid saying that the kid was trying to impose her religion on him in the pretext of holi with the help of the “saffron brigade”.

Long live india and its “secularism”.

Shahdol (MP): An eight-year-old girl was on Wednesday shot at and injured by a person allegedly peeved over her for pouring colour over him on the occasion of Holi at Parmaniya Khurd village here, police said.

Shelly Gupta suffered bullet injuries in both her legs when a fisherman, Mohammad Rashid of Singpur village, opened fire with his gun at a group of children celebrating Holi as they had supposedly sprayed him with colours, Kotwali Police Station In-charge Vijay Pratap Singh told PTI.

She was admitted to the Shahdol District Hospital for treatment where her condition was stated to be out of danger,he said.

Hearing gunshots, the villagers gathered and beat up Rashid and later handed him over to police, Singh said.

A case has been registered against the accused, Pratap added
