Hindu Statement

Its not a Religious Statement, Its a Cultural Statement!!!

Media snubbed, by the boys in blue.

I get a sinister pleasure when i hear that some one thumbed their noses at the media and the media did not have any answers. Well that what the boys in blue did today in reponse to the “news” that there was a rift between the captain and Sehwag. Well its nothing similar to what has been written in this blog, but wat the heck, am happy.

All the best, Team.

Original Article : Dhoni slams ‘false and irresponsible’ Indian media

Rubbishing all talk of a rift between himself and Virender Sehwag , India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni  on Friday came out with his entire squad, including support staff, for the pre-match press conference in Nottingham ahead of the team’s World T20 opener against Bangladesh, and lashed out at a “false and irresponsible” Indian media.

Dhoni said: “This message is for the people of India and Indian cricket fans from worldwide who care for the whole team. That’s why we are all here.

“As we prepare for the T20 World Cup, we are a unified team. The team spirit is as good as it has ever been, with each05dhoni-letter individual supporting each other both on and off the field.

“Recent reports in the Indian media of a rift between myself and Sehwag amounts to nothing but false and irresponsible media.

“Our fans and supporters can take confidence from the wonderful unity that continues to exist in the team.

“We thank our fans for this continued support and look forward to entertaining you during this tournament which we go into well-prepared, unified as Team India and confident.

“Thank-you.”

Finished, Dhoni and the entire squad stormed out of the conference, leaving the Indian media miffed.

The media immediately lodged a complaint with the ICC’s  Communications Officer Sami-ul-Hasan, saying that since it is an ICC event it is mandatory for the captain or a team member to address the media ahead of a match.

Hassan agreed, saying ICC rules are certainly in place, but it has no control over how teams conduct their briefing.

And, to make sure his words are not concocted, a copy of his address was distributed to the gathering before he and the entire squad and support staff stormed out.

  3. This is cool dude, but how do you know this is indeed the original note by Dhoni?
Its hardly surprising that the ELM will do anything, literally, for its … umm … thirty pieces of silver.

  5. Excellent!
He had cornered Ravi Shastri during the prize distribution ceremony after the inaugural 20/20 Cup.
About 15-20 years ago, the Indian media talked about “representing” the public. They have sold out long ago, and no longer talk on those terms.
Also, the public has repeatedly dissented when the media have harassed or chased down film stars and celebrities; the media has continued with disdain.Harbhajan and Greg Chappell were clearly correct in their retaliation, when one had a camera knock his head and the other had a mike shoved into his car.
Also, what and how much does a journalist know?
Any snot nose is used to stammer and stutter information or “news” that is basically common sense.
Their lack of experience and youthfullness is palpable.
Their coverage of Kandahar, Kargil, Godhra, 26/11 etc was an unmitigated disaster.
